The interesting offer about “Questions of Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery” magazine

Last month prof. V. Baitinger wrote the letter to professor P.Shmelze: "Dear Professor R. Schmelzle! Hallo from Siberia! I know about your success in treatment of hemangiomas. I know that you are a Sektionsleiter of DGPW. I am a General Redactor of our journal “Questions of Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery”(Tomsk). I have idea about common publication of journal (Journal der DGPW + our Journal) about vessel surgery in Germany and Russia, dedicate to Ernst Jeger – a forgotten pioneer in vascular surgery. The first monograph “Die Chirurgie der Blutgefasse und der Herzens” was written in 1913 by the Ernst Jeger, at age 29, in Berlin. At the beginning of World War I Jeger was called up and became a military surgeon. He was taken prisoner and died from typhoid fever in August 1915 in Siberia (Tomsk). Best Regards, Prof.V.Baitinger, PhD, MD Director of Institute of Microsurgery. Head of operative surgery department in Siberian Medical University (Tomsk)".

The Institute of microsurgery has received a reply to the letter this week: "Dear Professor Baitinger,
many warm greetings from professor Schmelzle and thanks for your email. Professor Schmelzle is very interested in a joint project. Sincerely P. Pohlenz".
